Dr. Jeff Peterson has been in practice as a Rheumatologist for 20 years in the greater Seattle area. He is fellowship-trained at the University of Washington where he is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and teaches medical students, residents, and fellows the specialty of rheumatology. He is the long-standing president of the
Washington Rheumatology Alliance, the state rheumatology medical society, advocating for patient's access to appropriate therapies and has taken on insurance companies, pharmacy benefits management companies, and government to help his patients. Dr. Peterson was also instrumental in helping found the Hawaii Rheumatology Society. While utilizing the latest advances in medicine, Dr. Peterson embraces a more holistic approach in overall treatment and empowers patients to help themselves with lifestyle changes, healthy diet, and some herbal medications as well and hopes to bring those ideas to Maui. The office is located in Kihei.
Dr. Peterson is an accomplished researcher and has many publications in the field of Rheumatology most recently on gout.
He hopes to bring research opportunities to Maui
He also owns and operates a 30-acre apple orchard north of Seattle and produces a commercial award-winning hard cider, enjoys nature, flower, and bird photography. He is excited to be a part of the Maui culture.
Dr. Botson, received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University, double-majoring in pharmacy and chemistry. After obtaining his medical degree from The Ohio State University, he served as a resident at the Dartmouth-
Hitchcock Medical Center, and in 2009 completed his rheumatology fellowship at the National Institutes ofHealth. Dr. Botson is the President of the Alaska Rheumatology Alliance and a Rheumatologist with Orthopedic
Physicians Alaska. He specializes in gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis management, and musculoskeletal ultrasound; as well as conducts clinical research in gout and osteoporosis. He is looking forward to bringing his expertise and experience to Maui.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Botson is writing scientific manuscripts and case studies and spending time with family enjoying an active lifestyle.
Dr Carlin has practiced Rheumatology for 43 + years.He is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine. He trained at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Internal Medicine and then completed a Fellowship at the University of Washington in Rheumatology.He retired from Virginia Mason Medical Center in 2022 after being the Chief of

He trained at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Internal Medicine and then completed a Fellowship at the University of Washington in Rheumatology.He retired from Virginia Mason Medical Center in 2022 after being the Chief of Rheumatology for many years. Currently, he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington where he teaches on the Rheumatology Service. He also is an Affiliate Clinical Investigator at the Benaroya Research institute at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Care where he is involved in research in the biology of autoimmune diseases.
Dr Kenney graduated from the University of Utah Medical School and studied Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at UCLA Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. After finishing his fellowship at UCLA, Dr. Kenney moved to Spokane, WA where he was one of the founders of Arthritis Northwest in Spokane. Arthr

He has even written his own protocol and gotten it approved by an IRB without the help of a pharmaceutical company or other entity.
